rainbow rag rugs. We absolutely detested these things in the 80s which is why they are so awesome today. For some they bring house blessings and warmth. For me just memories of slipping in the kitchen. Don't use them in the kitchen without the rug pad affixed under it. It's really cheap gripping stuff sold as shelf liner at Dollar general.

Before we recycled plastics we recycled scrap fabrics. They still make them today, but not in the USA and not as nice. You can hem this fabric easily if you want to make a custom fit rug. I hated these things growing up- slip. But retro is really cool now. Use a non slip pad under them. Or any scrap carpet padding will do.
